If at first you don't succeed...

First Strip    Previous Strip    Next Strip    Latest Strip

When I said last week that experience was the master of the DnD player, I need to qualify that statement. There are two things that drive a person to do something foolish in an RPG. The first of those things has been mentioned in a previous post. That is experience. The second is loot. Every player wants loot. Some new piece of armor or gold. It drives them to do strange things, like jumping off a cliff.

District 9 is out. I've been hearing great things about it and I'll probably see it in the upcoming weeks. The only problem I've heard so far with it is that you'll need a puke bag next to you during the movie because of the way it was filmed. On an interesting side note, whenever there is an alien movie opening in the world there seems to be more UFO sightings. Odd that aliens want to see movies of themselves.

I probably won't go see District 9 for a little while. I have another movie that's sparked my interest. Miyazaki is one of my all time favorite directors so whenever he comes out with a new movie, I have to go see it. Of course, being in a small town in Idaho means that I won't see it for another 3 months.

  1. The theaters here could deffinitely afford to be a bit more avant-garde.
