It's episodes like this that remind me of why middle-aged Disney (1980 - 1995) is so awesome. In the Rescuers down Under, the bad guy, whose name is McLeach, is trying to eat some eggs. His lizard pet keeps stealing them from right underneath his nose. McLeach then comes up with the funniest insult, "You dumb animal, my mental facilities are twice the size of yours, you PEA BRAIN!" The little kid thinks it's funny because he's insulting the lizard. The adult catches the humor in what he actually says. That is what Disney is missing presently.
My first major console game was Halo. I loved it. I must've played that game till my eyes would bleed. I would head over to a friend's house and link up 4 xbox and play for hours. It was some of the most fun I've had. Now, I feel like Bungie is just a one trick pony. Halo 2 was awful. I hated that game, I felt like it was poorly balanced and required too much luck. It became too Unreal Tournament for me. Halo 3 seemed pretty good, but nowhere near as much as the original Halo was.
Most recently, Bungie put out a game called Halo 3: ODST. It sold 2 million copies opening day. At $60 a pop, that's $120 million on the opening day alone. Now, it seemed pretty cool, especially as soon as I learned that this guy was going to be a voice actor. And then I found out that not only do they have Nathan Fillion, they also have Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudyk. This means that they have Firefly voice actors. I don't know why but that irritates me. I don't want to play a Halo game in order to get my Firefly fix. I want to play a Firefly game. I don't want Captain Mal, Jayne, and Wash to be in a Spartanesque combat suit. I don't blame anyone for this, it seems like a brilliant way to make money, but it still saddens me.

It almost worked too. I've had zero interest in Halo, but the fact Fillion was in it got my attention. Then the reviews came out. . .
