Disc golf, or frisbee golf, needs to be experienced to be appreciated. When I first heard about the whole scenario I didn't think it was that special. When I first tried to play, I got a horrible score. The game itself is similar to golf in more ways than one and one needs to practice at it until you get good. If you haven't tried it out yet, and have a frisbee golf course nearby, I highly recommend it.
AJ and I watched an awesome movie last night. It's one I know well, and he knows decently well. If you haven't seen it, I consider it to be one of Schwarzenegger's best films. There's little swearing, not much blood (but plenty of violence) and little sex. Another movie I highly recommend.
I finished up Dexter over the weekend and I'm not going to watch any more of the show. The first season was fantastic. However, the tension that is being created between his girlfriend, Rita, and Dexter is something I don't want to experience in a TV show. It, while not feeling contrived, feels like the producers are using that as a tool to get you to continue watching. When I feel that pull, I immediately cease watching the show. A show doesn't need tension for you to watch it. It can have it, but when the tension between two characters is the reason they want me to watch the show, I stop. I just can't stand it.

so... the reason you're stopping is because you think the plot might go in a certain direction?
ReplyDeleteOh, I have a good idea! There's a disc golf course here, so why don't you and AJ come play a game or two near the lovely mountain view?
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea, Tricia, you should email me your address and we'll see if we can make a trip sometime.
