I know that I'm a bit behind the cutting edge of pop culture. Well, maybe not a bit, more like I'm way behind that wave. I don't have cable so I can't watch TV shows. I don't have money so I can't buy the newest game or go to the theater. I don't have a car so I can't listen to the "hottest" stuff. However, I ultimately get to some things in that genre.
The latest is the TV show Dexter. Dexter is about Miami crime. He is a vigilante who is also a blood splatter analysis by day. He kills people who beat the justice system, but before you think that this is a hero or even anti-hero, he does it cause he enjoys it. This man is twisted and has no humanity in him. He has no compunction about killing anyone and basic human emotion is acted towards his peers.
Even with all this, I'm fascinated by the show. It is well written and Dexter knows he's not a good person and will narrate about it throughout the show. I would not recommend watching it unless you have a decently strong stomach because it is intense.
Oh, the comic came from the fact that AJ's little sister also has a ferret. He is twice as big as Poko's real life counterpart and abuses him incessantly.

Dexter gets pretty graphic and has a bit of nudity. Unfortunately its also the best written show I've seen in a long time.
