So, I went on a cross country trip to visit my girlfriend. I'm on the road as I type. I wanted to tell you a story about something that happened to me and my roommate while driving.

We were halfway there, it always happens at halfway, when the car started shaking. I looked in the mirror and saw a huge cloud of smoke as the rear right tire blew. After we had gotten out of the car to put on the spare, we realized that we had no jack for the car.

Attempts to dig out a hole availed nothing. After 15 minutes of futile excavation, we decided to hail down a car. No one stopped until an older man with Virginia plates stopped and lent us his jack.

He then proceeded to lead us into the closest town, showed us a tire shop, bought us a new jack, and bought some tires for us. Now, I've never experienced a good Samaritan before but this man was the epitomy of it.

I can't thank him enough. But I hope and pray the God blesses him. If anyone deserves it, he does.
